Project Veil: When the light rises...
Abigail Carey has been abducted, although she's struggling to understand if that's a blessing or a curse, given the circumstances surrounding her departure from her mother's party. Her only point of contact is Joseph, her abductor – a dangerous vampire, bordering on insane, who appears increasingly obsessed with her each day that passes.
Abi needs to escape, but as events unravel, she finds she is also unravelling, something wild and dark within, altering her piece by piece.
Meanwhile, Sophia is on the mend, fighting to keep her job and already searching for the elusive Project Veil. But she has a problem: Jacque woke up, and he woke up ... different. No one knows why, though it might be something to do with the Blood Surge they endured for his survival.
As Ronan aids her search for answers, she finds herself more and more drawn to him, but determined not to be – she loves Jacque with all her heart.
Fate, however, might have plans of its own, as do others – some of whom would like Project Veil never to be found.
